Hello! I’m Sandra Siekert, and I am so excited to be a part of the Cubberley community! I have been teaching for 25 years in the San Diego Unified School District, and have a strong passion for literacy and primary education.
I love helping young learners build confidence and a joy for learning.
I was born and raised in San Diego and feel incredibly welcomed to be teaching in a community that feels like home. I began my college journey at Grossmont College and transferred to San Diego State University, where I completed the rest of my education.
Outside of the classroom, I am married and have 3 almost grown children, and love spending as much time with them as possible before they leave for college and beyond. I enjoy Mexican food, sushi, reading, and making memories with loved ones.
I feel very welcomed at Cubberley and look forward to a wonderful year of learning and growing together.
